Tipples include the Jack Rose, an expertly blended mix of applejack brandy, lemon and pomegranate molasses, and there’s a small but considered bar menu of cured meat platters and cheese plates.

Back at the Peninsula, The Belvedere offers options to cozy up inside, or dine under the stars on the terrace, where a roaring fire pit pretty much guarantees some snuggle time. Sample David Codney’s Med-meets-LA menu and enjoy a glass of vino from the extensive wine list. Who could resist?
