Did you know that you should be adjusting your skincare products seasonally as the climate changes? Our Spa Estheticians recommend coming in for a facial treatment at least once at the start of each season to learn about the products that will work best for your skin with the change in weather. Elzbieta, one of our Spa Estheticians, recommends the following tips to take care of your skin during the summer months.

1. Always wear sunscreen. This is especially important when there is more direct sunlight outside. I recommend SPF 30 for your face, which will help to prevent aging, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. Apply at least every two hours to ensure effectiveness and coverage. Also, do not forget your ears, which frequently get missed in the sunscreen application process.

2. Change to lightweight moisturizers that will be easily absorbed by your skin. Product recommendations based on skin type are listed below.

3. Use products with additional hydration to help prevent dryness that can occur from the heat and sun. I recommend hydrating serums, face masks, and face oils to help calm and heal your skin.

4. Refresh your skin and get rid of dry, dead layers with exfoliation and facial peels. The Biologique Recherche P50 lotion is great for exfoliation at home, as it helps to balance the PH levels in your skin.
