There are more than one hundred Botero sculptures located in public spaces around the world. That people can touch and feel the volume of his works and thus to participate in a sense in his act of artistic creation is a source of great joy and satisfaction for Master Botero. 

Master Botero selected Pietrasanta, Italy as the venue for the creation of his sculptures. This small town in Tuscany has a vibrant history and tradition and is famous for being the place where Michelangelo sculpted the famous masterpiece “The David” after extracting the material from the legendary marble mountains of Carrara.
