Cheung’s reverence for Eastern and Western philosophy are central to his oeuvres, which he blends traditional ideology and futuristic imagination to create immersive soundscape, generative art and data art.

His contemporary calligraphy installation series No Longer Write – Mochiji were acquired by Hong Kong Museum of Art and Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts. InkFlux was selected in 24th Japan Media Arts Festival and collected by United Overseas Bank. Most recent works Ink | Pulse, Waving Script and Falling Tears are commissioned by M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum and Hong Kong Museum of Art respectively.
“The Flow Pavilion”, by artist Chris Cheung (widely known as h0nh1m), was created in collaboration with Tai Ping, and uses carpet as an innovative medium to blend elements of futuristic technology with traditional craftsmanship. A one-way glass structure modelled after a contemporary tea house is the centrepiece of this Zen Garden, installed at The Verandah. Within the tea house, a programmed kinetic sphere traces dynamic and intricate patterns on the carpet, reflecting the artist’s own brain waves during meditation. The all-encasing work provides guests with a multisensory experience that encourages a state of deep focus and tranquillity.
