Enjoy the Rest of Summer at Hong Kong’s Epic Theme Parks
It's no secret that Hong Kong is home to not one, but two epic theme parks – Disneyland and Ocean Park. As summer draws to an end, we squeeze every last drop of cool seasonal fun to be had at these family-friendly days out.
Hong Kong Disneyland
Located on Lantau Island, Hong Kong’s home of all things Disney needs little by way of introduction, and there’s something to entice fans young and old – even when the mercury climbs ridiculously high. As well as meeting beloved characters like Mickey and Minnie, Donald,, Simba, Woody, Buzz and Cinderella, you can enjoy thrilling rides and diverse experiences like the Animation Academy’s budding animators workshop, or this year’s new attraction Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle! For something a little gentler, seek out the iconic It’s A Small World, Mad Hatter Tea Cups and Jungle River Cruise and be sure to allow time for the requisite must-see performances (hello, Lion King Festival).
Ocean Park Hong Kong
With its barrage of wet and wild activities spanning up-close animal experiences, thrill rides and play spaces for guests of all ages, south side-situated Ocean Park is as popular as it is easily accessible. From the Emperor’s of The Sky and Amazing Bird Theatre shows, Sichuan Treasures exhibition (aka the Pandas), Grand Aquarium, and Adventures in Australia, to the Arctic Fox Den, South Pole Spectacular, Old Hong Kong precinct and all the Summit ride action, it’s unlikely you’ll need any further encouragement to get along with the kids for a fun-filled day out… but here’s some anyway.
