The Peninsula Academy

Among the many historic feats of British aviation pioneered at Brooklands, none is as iconic as the conception and manufacture of the ground-breaking Concorde. This full-day programme lets guests experience the superb innovation and opulence of this supersonic aircraft. The adventure begins with a drive to Brooklands Museum via Rolls-Royce sedan; after welcome refreshments in a plush Edwardian departure lounge, they will board the museum’s own BAC Aerospatiale Concorde (known as Delta Golf), for a tour including a visit to the flight deck and a glass of champagne. Following this there will be three-course lunch with former Chief Concorde Pilot Mike Bannister and former Concorde Pilot John Tye.  Each guest will spend 45 thrilling minutes at the controls of the original Concorde Simulator, that trained all BA Concorde flight crew. After returning to The Peninsula London, they can share their impressions of the day over a seven-course tasting menu at the rooftop restaurant, Brooklands by Claude Bosi.
