Born an artisan family with a heritage dating back to the 18th century, Turkish master jewellers Gilan blends Ottoman influences with contemporary design. Gilan’s first London store is designed in-keeping with the brand’s signature pared-back, luxe aesthetic, reflecting the feeling of a modern museum, welcoming clients to spend time discovering, and offering a relaxing place to shop. Featuring curated collections on display in jewellery box-shaped windows, a library wall exhibiting books by English artists and designers, the space has been designed in subtle homage to the brand’s Turkish heritage. Hand-painted tiles from Istanbul, chandeliers crafted from Turkish glass, and a delightful Turkish coffee bar creates a unique ambience. Gilan introduces limited-edition wine glasses studded with diamonds and an exclusive pendant to The Peninsula London featuring the London skyline made from diamonds and coloured gemstones – destination-inspired pendants are a signature within the brand’s collections. The London store is the second in Gilan’s ongoing partnership with The Peninsula Hotels, who also have a store in The Peninsula Istanbul.
