The Peninsula Hotels
Delightful performances, family activities, splendid feasts, and gifting opportunities weave holiday magic at the iconic luxury hotels
This winter, The Peninsula Hotels’ portfolio of exceptionally luxurious properties will once again host a plethora of festive experiences for its guests around the world. Long known as cherished “holiday homes” for discerning travellers, the hotels will offer abundant occasions for visitors to create lasting holiday memories with their loved ones.
This year’s festive-season guests will be invited to take part in timeless holiday traditions: gathering beneath magnificently decorated Lobby Christmas trees, sharing bountiful meals and delectable treats, and enjoying live holiday music performances and joyful family activities. They will also have the chance to take part in the time-honoured Peninsula custom of contributing to less-fortunate members of its communities.
Sumptuous Holiday Feasts
The Peninsula’s acclaimed culinary teams will unveil special dining experiences at each of its hotel restaurants through the season. At The Peninsula Hong Kong, guest choices range from cosy, convivial meals served in an enchanting vintage “Peninsula Express” rail car to refined, Michelin-starred Cantonese fare at the fabled Spring Moon. Those staying at The Peninsula Istanbul can enjoy abundant holiday brunches featuring roast meats carved to order, fresh seafood, Turkish and Mediterranean specialties, and indulgent desserts at The Lobby on both Christmas and New Year’s Day. And at The Peninsula Beijing, dessert lovers will discover the ultimate indulgence at The Peninsula Chocolate Buffet, where artisanal chocolates and hot cocoa are offered in collaboration with Valrhona Chef Guillaume Lopvet.
Spellbinding Performances
The spirit of the holidays comes to life at The Peninsula Hotels with a variety of enchanting festive musical performances. Several hotels will present classical concerts featuring acclaimed regional orchestras – including a special one-night performance on 1 December at The Peninsula Manila, showcasing the Manila Symphony Orchestra, celebrated soloists, and the Ateneo Chamber Singers. Other properties will host Christmas carollers, including The Peninsula Beverly Hills, whose Lobby will resound with classic holiday songs every evening at 6 p.m. between 20 and 24 December.
Joyful Family Activities
Each Peninsula property offers a variety of fun, festive-season activities that invite families to share memorable moments together. At The Peninsula Tokyo, parents and their children can take part in Gingerbread-Decorating and Holiday Candle-making workshops, bring beloved-but-worn toys to a Toy Hospital for loving repair, and mail holiday postcards to loved ones (and Santa). For guests seeking outdoor holiday fun, the Sky Rink returns this year to the rooftop of The Peninsula Chicago, with alfresco skating under twinkling lights, cosy hot chocolate, and grand views over the skyscrapers of Michigan Avenue.
Superb New Year’s Celebrations
Around the globe, Peninsula properties will provide high-style opportunities to joyfully welcome the arrival of 2025, where New Year’s guests at The Peninsula New York can join an exuberant soirée at the brand-new Pen Top, with Champagne, specialty cocktails, and illuminated floors for all-night dancing. At The Peninsula Bangkok, a Moulin Rouge-themed party will include a splendid buffet feast, high-spirited live music performers, and breathtaking fireworks display over the Chao Phraya River. And at The Peninsula Shanghai, New Year’s revellers can savour a superb eight-course set menu at Sir Elly’s accompanied by Champagne and chances to win luxurious raffle prizes.
Exclusive Gifts and Treats
Visitors will have the chance to browse for holiday gifts and delicacies at a variety of special shopping venues at their respective hotels. At The Peninsula Paris, guests can place orders for this year’s ethereally crafted Yule Log cake from award-winning Pastry Chef Anne Coruble. The Peninsula London, meanwhile, will open a bustling Sunday Christmas Market, featuring cheerful courtyard stalls selling mulled wine, crepes, raclettes, and caviar – and visits from Father Christmas, who arrives via Rolls-Royce. At The Peninsula Boutique, guests will also discover gifts like decadent hand-dipped chocolates, gourmet hampers, plush Pen Bears for children, and Peninsula Gift Cards that let recipients enjoy superb restaurant meals or rejuvenating treatments at The Peninsula Spa.
The Season of Giving
Since its founding, The Peninsula has extended support to underserved members of its home communities through outreach programmes and charitable donations, and it makes special efforts to give during the holidays. This year, each Peninsula property will offer guests the chance to make purchases whose proceeds benefit local organisations that empower the welfare of children – including numerous chapters of The Make a Wish Foundation®, which helps grant the wishes of kids facing life-threatening illnesses.
