Throughout the month of Ramadan, The Peninsula Istanbul will invite observant guests to take part in sumptuous iftar meals at The Lobby restaurant. Surrounded by the grand ambience of the venue – whose soaring ceilings and water views reflect its past as a historic ferry terminal – and accompanied by live Turkish music, these offerings will provide a warm setting to break the fast among loved ones.
The iftar offerings, which will be available at The Lobby from 1 to 29 March 2025, have been meticulously planned by the hotel’s acclaimed culinary team. Buffet stations will present an array of cold appetizers, while soups, hot starters, and main courses will be served à la carte. Delectable Turkish desserts and baklava selections, impeccably crafted by The Peninsula pastry chefs, will appeal to both eyes and palates.
Featured iftar specialties will include hot appetizers like Paçanga Böreği and stuffed meatballs; and main courses of Lamb İncik, Ali Nazik, Tire Meatballs, and Çökertme Kebab. Beloved Ramadan desserts such as Güllaç, Lokma, Zerde, and Kadayif will offer time-honoured flavours. All these traditional preparations will be complemented by refreshing sherbets and homemade lemonade. As well as hosting these memorable iftar feasts at The Lobby, The Peninsula Istanbul will also offer special room service and sahur menus for its guests observing Ramadan.
