With the reopening of both its refined terrace restaurants, the iconic Avenue Kléber hotel invites guests to rediscover the pleasures of dining together
Gathering at an outdoor table to dine and drink among loved ones is a quintessentially Parisian pastime, and one that many residents and visitors in The City of Light have recently missed. Now, with the reopening of both its elegant terrace restaurants – La Terrasse Kleber and Le Rooftop – on 19 May, The Peninsula Paris warmly welcomes guests to reconnect with the hotel’s superb French cuisine, exquisitely secluded open-air spaces – and with one another.
La Terrasse Kléber: Leisurely lunches, lavish brunches, and after-work bites and drinks are back for fans of alfresco dining
An expansive alfresco piazza with the ambiance of a private garden, La Terrasse Kléber offers an ideal setting for a leisurely lunch, sunset cocktails, or decadent dinner. Guests can indulge in creative and classic French menus every day of the week from 12 noon to 9 pm.
All day long, diners at La Terrasse Kléber can choose from an array of dishes that highlight the freshest seasonal ingredients. The offerings range from lunchtime favourites like cheeseburgers and salmon club sandwiches to refined dinner entrees – like roasted sea bass and Normandy ribeye steak. Delightful desserts – such as Ciflorette strawberries with fennel ice cream, citrus soufflé with candied lemon sorbet, and mille-feuille with milk jam – provide a sweet finish to any meal.
In the evenings starting at 5 pm, the restaurant will also serve a menu of small-plate dishes specially meant to accompany cocktails and drinks. These light bites offer another delicious opportunity for guests to linger and share time together.
Beginning on 23 May, The Peninsula Paris’s famous Sunday brunch also returns to La Terrasse Kléber. The sumptuous feast takes place every Sunday between 11 am and 3 pm, by reservation only. Guests can indulge in starters like fresh-baked pastries and brioche with butter, jam and honey; appetizers like white asparagus with foie gras, creamy burrata, or smoked salmon; and main courses including organic scrambled or parfait eggs, linguine with salmon, or duck-breast-and-red-wine risotto. The meal also includes a delectable selection of cheeses and desserts.
Le Rooftop: Lunch or evening cocktails return once again, in an unforgettable setting overlooking the Parisian cityscape
From 19 May to 8 June, Le Rooftop at The Peninsula Paris – which boasts dazzling, sun-washed views over the Eiffel Tower and the 16th arrondissement – will reopen to guests seeking meals and drinks in a singularly elegant setting.
Between 12 noon and 3 pm each day, diners can enjoy lunch at Le Rooftop during one of two scheduled seatings, by reservation only, featuring a selection of starters, main courses, and desserts. Between 3 and 9 pm, the rooftop will also offer a menu of small-plate dishes (such as caramelized Galician octopus) and sweets to guests who book in advance. All meals can be paired with sophisticated cocktails, fine wines and spirits.
At both La Terrasse Kléber and Le Rooftop, diners will savour the exquisite creations of Chef David Bizet and his talented culinary team. Their cuisine ensures guests a delicious return to The Peninsula Paris – and to The City of Light.
