Prince Gong's Mansion
Prince Gong's Mansion is located near Shichahai Lake, to the northwest of the Forbidden City. Built in 1777, it was once the private residence of He Shen, a favourite minister of Emperor Qianlong during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and is a prime example of the grand residences of Chinese officers in ancient times.
