The Peninsula Beijing Presents "Colour Full" Art Space

04/06/2024

The Peninsula Hotels is committed to immersing, perpetuating and developing local culture, using the arts as a bridge to foster intercultural and intergenerational exchange. The Peninsula Beijing also adheres to the Group's philosophy, cooperating with young artists in China to hold exhibitions and art exchange forums.

Throughout June 2024, The Peninsula Beijing's Art Gallery welcomes art and lifestyle pioneers Artnow and Ez Gallery for a co-curated exhibition themed "Colour Full". After a rather long winter, the arrival of spring seems to be the real beginning of the year. At the beginning of the year, what color will you choose for your life? What kind of stories would you like to fill the new year with?

The exhibition presents six artists of different ages from China, South Korea and Australia: Chinese artist Feng Rui, who brings the intention of painting water in bright and light colors in the "People in the Water" series, symbolizing the current social environment and people's living conditions, and Chen Guobao, a Chinese artist, who brings award-winning oil paintings in the exhibition of works of the Chinese and Foreign Academy of Fine Arts; Three Korean artists, Zipcy, Ji Hyun-jeong and Lee Air-ri, use Eastern compositional techniques and Western color combinations to show us the subtle expression between nature, senses and emotions. Australian artist Nathan Paddison's work forms an expressionist dialogue through different mediums such as acrylic, enamel, fabric, pastel and other unique styles. Their works invariably choose to embrace the power of color, filling the space of images and stories through a burst of color.

When we are surrounded by the world through the eyes of these artists, we might as well ask ourselves: What kind of "fullness" do I want to gain this year? Full of health, full of happiness, full of good mouth? Let's leave this space to you, and fill the life you want, your way.

On April 26th, the hotel will hold an art sharing salon on the same day, inviting guests such as mainstream art media, collectors, trend managers, trend and art lovers, and professional art guides and artists themselves will lead everyone to follow the "color map", enjoy them one by one, and tell the creative stories behind the exhibits themselves. Afterwards, guests, media and fans will have face-to-face discussions and exchanges with the artists, and visit the "Colour Full" art journey arranged at the gallery on the third floor.

The "Colour Full" Art Space is open to hotel guests and the general public 24 hours daily at The Peninsula Beijing 3F.
