Whether you’re a would-be nest-featherer or seasoned decor doyenne, there’s no shortage of inspiration in New York. Here’s where to shop the best interior design the Big Apple has to offer.

The Future Perfect
This immaculate showroom of David Alhadeff’s edgy interiors gallery is located in the East Village. Wallet-wilting standouts include Mario Marenco’s peacock feather-festooned armchair, a coffee table crafted from halved and polished stones, a hand-woven gold Inca wall hanging, and a stash of bold vintage fabric cushions.

Saved NY
Shoppers in search of that one-off statement piece should beeline for Saved, a charming vintage shop on Irving Place featuring antiques, furniture, decorative objects, lighting and textiles. Browse a rotating selection of handmade blankets, pillows, tapestries, lamps and candlesticks. Founder Sean McNanney designs and works with a team of artisans in Mongolia to create a collection of cashmere soft goods made with Mongolian cashmere, camelhair and yak down. Saved NY is also known for their collaboration with various artists with stunning results.

BDDW
Sculptor-painter Tyler Hays is the talent behind rustic bower BDDW, a SoHo haven showcasing furniture, ceramics, and wooden creations of his design, all exquisitely hand-crafted in his Philadelphia studio. Hays’ upbringing in rural Oregon informs his aesthetic, which marries practicality with an appreciation for wabi-sabi, the Japanese acceptance of imperfection. Wander next door to straight-outta-Kinfolk general store M.Crow & Company, Hays’ second brainchild, imported from a sleepy town in his home state.

ABC Carpet & Home
You could lose days in this dreamy six-storey mini-city of homewares, framing everything from larger moveables and carpets to lighting and objets d’art in scene after scene, put together by a on point visual team. Goods scoured from across the globe, with sustainability and fair-trade standards in mind, have made this magical ‘marketplace’ the go-to for A-list interior decorators. Post-splurge, slink over to your pre-booked table at ABC Kitchen, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s rave-busy ode to locavore, green cuisine.
