New york shopping soho

Join our walking tour of this vibey LES hood, with a focus on SoHo’s high-end indie fashion, homewares, and hangouts for mid-retail refuels. Some of Manhattan’s best shopping can be found here, although avoid weekends unless you wish to experience the Midwest! Start at 285 Lafayette St (cnr Jersey St) at Florentine darling Santa Maria Novella, stocked with elegant eau de cologne, soaps and body booty.
Refuel then retrace your steps turning right into Crosby to find MZ Wallace at #93 for unique funky bags; next door is Mud Australia with streamlined, colorful Aussie porcelain tableware for your pad at #91; For a touch of history, stop by the MoMA Design Store on the corner at 81 Spring St, where you’ll find a curated selection of statement pieces and gifts. The iconic Bistro Balthazar is on the opposite corner with its scrumptious bakery next door.
Continue over Grand to the next block where you’ll find lovely, ethical womenswear fashion label Maiyet #16, and further at #5 BDDW crafts exquisite contempo American timber furniture. Fashionistas won't want to miss Reformation which offers slick retooled vintage and dresses at #23; Michele Varian at #27 is a must-visit, with gorgeous textiles, wallpapers, and ceramics; Our final stop is the huge Opening Ceremony, with own-label and like-minded brands – hipster paradise. This haven for independent designers features edgy and avant-garde fashion for both men and women.
SoHo over it? Gallop back to slink-a-dink Balthazar to rest your hooves. You star!
