The Lobby Elevates Tradition with Magnificent Springtime Holiday Brunches
The sun-drenched Lobby with its majestic 20-foot picture windows is the perfect setting for any meal of the day, but the hotel’s Easter and Mother’s Day Brunches are perhaps the most eagerly anticipated experiences of the year for food lovers and families. New traditions are formed, and old ones celebrated, as guests indulge in the lavish buffets, elaborate décor and entertainment that make The Lobby a go-to destination year after year.
An Elegant Easter Sunday Brunch
Spanning The Lobby, the holiday buffet features an extravagant array of savory and sweet dishes at a variety of action stations prepared by The Peninsula’s culinary team. Breakfast selections are available as well as à la carte-plated menu options.
Interactive stations devoted to roasted meats, pasta, dim sum and more showcase seasonal ingredients and global flavors.
• The main carving station features roasted bone-in prime rib, wood fired grilled lamb leg, Berkshire ham and a selection of vegetables.
• Lobster & truffle ravioli
• Sushi, seafood and caviar bar includes Alaskan king crab, jumbo shrimp, freshly shucked oysters, Jonah crab claws and more.
• Shanghai Terrace Chinese station features Peking duck, a variety of dumplings, pot stickers and more
Plated entrée options include pan-fried red snapper, baked Ōra King salmon, seafood puttanesca, and shrimp & grits.
Decadent desserts are the order of the day which completes any special holiday celebration at The Peninsula Chicago. A large array of springtime flavors include citrus, meringue, passion fruit, Easter sweets, chocolate, and more.
Children have their own buffet filled with favorites such as macaroni & cheese, mini burgers, and brownie pops for dessert.
Entertainment for younger guests will include activities in the Children’s Lounge, a balloon artist, magician, an Easter egg hunt during each seating and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. In addition, guests will be treated to live music throughout the day courtesy of a string quartet in The Lobby.
A Magnificent Mother’s Day Brunch in Mom’s Honor
There is something for every palate, from a variety of seafood options, colorfully composed salads, to a staggering selection of pastries, tarts and other sweets.
Action stations are dedicated to some of Mom’s favorite foods:
• Seafood boil
• Poke bowls: lobster, tuna, shrimp, salmon & truffle
• The main carving station: stuffed veal rack and Tomahawk steak and a selection of roasted vegetables.
• Sushi and caviar bar
• Shanghai Terrace Chinese station features Peking duck, a variety of dumplings, pot stickers and more.
Plated entrée options include rainbow trout, clams, halibut, and lobster fettucine.
Decadent desserts round out this Mother’s Day celebration and showcase a variety of cheesecakes, tarts, verrines, cobblers, and an action station of dipped strawberries with topping options.

Easter and Mother’s Day Brunches are US$ 325 for adults and US$ 85 for children ages 5 to 12 (excluding tax, gratuity and beverages). Seatings in The Lobby are between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
