The Peninsula Hong Kong Invites Wedding Couples to Discover Its Legendary Wedding Showcase “Your Celebration of Love…Reimagined”

Since it first opened its doors in 1928, The Peninsula Hong Kong has served as the peerlessly elegant backdrop for romantic occasions. Innumerable guests have chosen to propose marriage or toast wedding anniversaries at the iconic hotel, and just as many have decided to exchange their vows amid the exquisite environs and impeccable service of the Grande Dame.   
The Peninsula Hong Kong is delighted to announce that it will host its all-day wedding showcase, “Your Celebration of Love…Reimagined,” on 4 March 2023. Discover and be inspired by curated settings, sumptuous menus, exquisite culinary treats, choreographed tunes of love, all perfectly orchestrated to storytell a journey of romance in the most unique and memorable way. 
This year, the hotel introduces wedding celebrations on the harbour complemented by legendary hospitality of The Peninsula and the enduring legacy of the iconic Star Ferry. Be among the first to see and experience how one can seal the oath of love on the mesmerising Victoria Harbour.

Sumptuous Venues and Amenities for the Big Day
During the all-day showcase, held between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm, couples-to-be can browse the hotel’s plethora of special-event venues. The gathering spaces, including the graceful Salisbury Room, the intimate Garden Suite, the alfresco Sun Terrace, the sky-high Felix featuring unrivalled Victoria Harbour views, and the Michelin-starred Gaddi’s and Spring Moon restaurants, will all be staged in wedding-day finery for the couples’ perusal. A new venue option that will also be presented to couples this year is the World Star, a beautifully decorated ship in the Star Ferry fleet – available through The Peninsula Hong Kong’s exclusive partnership with Star Ferry.

Guests will also be guided through Chinese-style nuptial options, and will have the opportunity to visit the hotel’s Marco Polo Suite and incomparably opulent Peninsula Suite.
 
Superbly Designed Wedding Experiences
Guests will have the opportunity to discover some of the splendid, customisable wedding experiences crafted by The Peninsula Hong Kong’s team of specialists. Each of these includes all the necessary components for a memorable and deeply personal marriage celebration – including wedding venue, reception, honeymoon suite, and numerous special pre- and post-ceremony extras and amenities. 

An Iconic Wedding Setting on the Harbour
One of the most famous weddings ever hosted at The Peninsula Hong Kong took place in 1931, when Sir Robert married Lady Margaret Ho-Tung – and arrived at the Grande Dame, along with 1,000 glamorous, high-society guests, via specially decorated Star Ferries. This year, in an auspicious “marriage” of two legendary icons, The Peninsula is proud to be the first hotel in Hong Kong to offer weddings in partnership with Star Ferry, which coincides with the significant anniversaries of the two home-grown icons with a long and esteemed heritage: The Peninsula Hong Kong’s 95th anniversary and Star Ferry’s 125th anniversary.

During three scheduled sessions on 4 March – 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm – guests will have the opportunity to experience a journey and imagine their dream weddings aboard the beautifully decorated World Star, featuring elegant wedding set up, live entertainment and light refreshment. 
Priced at HK$ 208,000*, the “Harmony on the Harbour” wedding journey can accommodate up to 80 guests, and includes the following:

• Two-hour Star Ferry usage
• Canapés and beverages provided by The Peninsula Hong Kong’s culinary team
• Decorations
• Nuptial room package at The Peninsula Hong Kong

The “Love and Luxury” Experiences
Wedding couples who opt to host their nuptials with a celebratory dinner in The Peninsula Hong Kong’s Salisbury Room can choose to enjoy one of the following privileges:

• Peninsula Deutz Cuvée Brut Champagne for a first-round wedding toast.
• One night of accommodation in a Superior Suite for the wedded couple’s first anniversary.
• A “Time Together” half-day Spa Journey at The Peninsula Spa, including two hours of treatment time in the luxurious Private Spa Suite for two, with stunning harbour views, a private steam shower and a whirlpool infinity bath. The experience is also complemented by an exclusive poolside breakfast or lunch featuring Naturally Peninsula light, plant-based cuisine, plus the use of the hotel’s Roman-style swimming pool.
