The Peninsula Istanbul, which was recently named the top European City hotel by Travel + Leisure’s 2024 World’s Best Awards, has unveiled a splendid new venue for hosting special events: its expansive rooftop Herb Garden.
Set atop one of the hotel’s four elegant Bosphorus-front buildings, the garden, designed in collaboration with local urban farming collective Komşuköy, supplies fresh vegetables, fruit, and herbs to the property’s culinary team. With its panoramic views over the glittering Bosphorus and the historic peninsula beyond, however, the Herb Garden also offers an enchanting space for outdoor gatherings.
With the help of The Peninsula Istanbul’s expert event planners, guests can arrange to hold cocktail soirees, banquets, intimate dinners, or private workshops amid the Herb Garden’s pomegranate trees, grape vines, and gracefully landscaped beds of basil, oregano, and chicory. Guests can also experience the venue by joining events that the hotel frequently schedules there, including wine tastings every Tuesday night, and regular screenings of movie and sporting events.
