The Peninsula Paris
The legendary palace hotel invites guests and their families to celebrate the holiday – and the arrival of spring – with special menus, treats, and stays
April is one of the most anticipated months at The Peninsula Paris, since it heralds the return of both the blooming spring season and the joyful Easter holiday. In celebration of these twin occasions, the heritage Avenue Kléber hotel is delighted to unveil a collection of special experiences – including festive meals and sweets, kids’ activities, and a stay package – for guests to enjoy with their families.
The Grand Easter Brunch at LiLi and Le Lobby
This year, The Peninsula Paris’s characteristically lavish Easter brunch will be more extravagant than ever. On April 9, Easter Sunday, the culinary teams at two of the hotel’s acclaimed restaurants – Le Lobby and LiLi – will join together to offer a singularly opulent feast. Two seatings will be available: noon and 3 pm.
The ground floor of the hotel will be transformed into a single shared dining space, where guests will gather to savour a plethora of savoury and sweet dishes. The entrée stations will offer seasonal preparations like navarin of Perche chicken with morel polenta; pearly seabass aiguillettes accompanied by a cauliflower risotto; spiced confit of lamb shoulder, and thyme-infused roasted rack of lamb. A seafood station will serve the freshest lobster, langoustine, scallops, and prawns; and a cured-meat station will present a range of delicious choices.
Children will be specially catered to at the Easter brunch. A kids’ gourmet buffet will offer an array of favourite foods – such as mini burgers, croque-monsieurs, and of course, copious sweets like marshmallow bears, waffles, pastries, and chocolate candies. A fun-filled activity space will also be available to children attending the brunch, where magic tricks, balloon sculptures, makeup application, and more will be offered through The Peninsula Paris’s partner brand, children’s fashion house Tartine et Chocolat.
Of course, thehighlights of the day will be the Easter-egg hunts, which will take place during both brunch seatings. While children scamper through the hotel’s ground floor, searching for hidden treasure, parents can relax in the dining area to enjoy drinks and music from live performers.
Springtime Delights at Le Lobby
Throughout the month of April, Pastry Chef Anne Coruble will present a line-up of enticing new desserts for Afternoon Tea at Le Lobby restaurant. The offerings have all been created around two of Chef Coruble’s favourite flavours, vanilla and chocolate. Afternoon Tea guests can taste a Saint-Honoré with Tahitian vanilla, decorated with a semi-salted caramel; a tartlet made with marbled chocolate and Tahitian vanilla; a traditional crispy, all-chocolate Swiss bread; a frozen pre-dessert that evokes “chocolate butter bread”; and a kougelhopf to share, accompanied by an exquisite homemade spread with raw hazelnuts and a raw vanilla cream.
On the savoury side, Chef Baptiste Leroux will unveil an assortment of delicious seasonal canapés on the April Afternoon Tea menu – among them a cocoa tartlet with pea cream, smoked burrata and sea bream marinated in citrus; a marshmallow with green asparagus and parmesan; and brioche French toast with Champagne, garnished with poivrade artichoke and imperial caviar.
An Epicurean Easter at L’Oiseau Blanc
At L’Oiseau Blanc, two-Michelin-starred French cuisine, paired with breath-taking views over Paris’s rooftops, offers a truly exceptional Easter dining experience. For the holiday weekend only (Saturday 8 April to Monday 10 April) the dazzling rooftop restaurant will offer a special Easter set menu from Executive Chef David Bizet, available for both lunch and dinner.
A true gastronomic journey, the six-course menu highlights the finest ingredients of the season. The offerings include a starter of the newest spring asparagus, served with caviar, burnt bread, and creamy egg yolk; diners can also savour turbot roasted with the first spring herbs, accompanied by wild mushrooms in a Zéphir Pupillin sauce . A magnificent confit lamb shoulder, infused with seaweed and wild garlic, and served with morels and candied onions, gets star billing as a main course. And the award-winning signature dessert of Pastry Chef Anne Coruble –Tahitian vanilla, iced, grilled, and served with a frosted tobacco leaf – makes a delectably sweet finish.
Parisian Spring Family Getaway
Throughout the month of April, The Peninsula Paris invites families to gather together in The City of Light – perhaps the world’s most iconic springtime destination – with a special stay promotion. Created in partnership with Tartine & Chocolat, this offer includes daily American breakfast, fully flexible check-in, and check-out, and delightful sweet surprises as in-room amenities – including kougelhopf, flavoured waffles, and a delicious hazelnut-vanilla spread, all created by Pasty Chef Anne Coruble.
