The Peninsula Paris welcomes guests to celebrate a magical holiday season at its historic Avenue Kleber Palace

01/12/2023

With a splendid programme of festive celebrations, sumptuous meals and magnificent gifts to share, the iconic heritage hotel excitedly greets new and returning members of its "Peninsula family".

For nearly a decade, The Peninsula Paris has served as a cherished “holiday home” to guests dur-ing the Christmas and New Year season. At this special time of year, travellers from around the world gather at the legendary palace hotel to take part in an array of festive meals, joyful family activities, and opportunities to create cherished memories together.

Family Delights

On three consecutive Sundays – 3,10, and 17 December – Festive Children’s Brunch will be held in Le Lobby restaurant, in partnership with celebrated children’s fashion brand Tartine et Chocolat. The brunches will feature delicious sweet and savoury holiday treats; a special kids’ entertainment area with a variety of guided creative activities; and the chance for parents to enjoy a craft cocktail or glass of champagne.

Lavish, family-friendly Christmas Day and New Year’s Day Brunches, configured to fill the entire first floor of the hotel, will also be hosted by Le Lobby. Abundant serving stations will offer an array of delectable holiday dishes and desserts – including Cantonese preparations from LiLi; sublime creations by award-winning Pastry Chef Anne Coruble; and children’s favourites like cotton candy, marshmallow bears, and a chocolate fountain.

Throughout the month of December, the Festive Afternoon Tea, held daily at Le Lobby, offers families another opportunity to enjoy special Christmas treats together. Against the backdrop of the hotel’s enormous, elaborately decorated Christmas tree, guests can savour a menu of light bites that spotlight the flavours of the season.

Festive Gastronomy

Elegant Holiday Delights at Le Lobby

The grand Belle-Epoque dining room of Le Lobby, with its soaring ceilings, gold leaf, and glittering chandeliers, provides a memorable setting for holiday meals. On 24 December, the restaurant will welcome diners for a refined, five-course Christmas Eve Dinner, featuring a delicate parsnip tart, scallop carpaccio with pear, grilled langoustine paired with fir-infused foam, truffled Perche poultry, and poached spiced pear with praline.

The similarly elegant menu served on New Year’s Eve will include heart of candied salmon, pressed beetroot with his black truffle, golden scallops with gnocchi and squid ink, roast veal fillet mignon with Zéphir champagne, and a chocolate pavlova served with stracciatella frosting. As the stroke of midnight approaches, the festive atmosphere will be enhanced by a trio of live musicians.

Cantonese Holiday Feasts at LiLi

Amid glamourous surrounds inspired by Chinese opera, diners at LiLi can indulge in sumptuous Cantonese feasts during the holidays. The opulent Christmas Eve menu created by Chef Tak Lau Yuen and his team includes such preparations as dim sum selections, wonton soup with black truffle; bi feng tang-fried monkfish; and braised Angus beef with fried jasmine rice, crabmeat, and candied tomato.

Diners at LiLi on New Year’s Eve will discover a menu featuring dim sum and barbecue selections, scallop-pumpkin soup with crab, Wok-fried blue lobster, Wok-fried jasmine rice with braised abalone, Wok-fried chicken with black truffle sauce, and chocolate pavlova with stracciatella frosting.

Two Michelin-Star Dining at L'Oiseau Blanc

Perched atop The Peninsula Paris, with breath-taking views over the city and the two-Michelin-starred French cuisine of Executive Chef David Bizet, L'Oiseau Blanc provides a singular venue for holiday dining. Through the month of December, Chef Bizet and his team will honour one of the season’s most rarefied ingredients with a decadent, five-course Black Truffle Menu. Available for lunch and dinner, the menu highlights include truffle carpaccio with fermented black tea and smoked egg, and truffle-infused turbot served in chestnut leaf with lacquered ginger.

On Christmas Eve, diners at L’Oiseau Blanc can indulge in a splendid festive menu featuring oscietra caviar with garden beetroot, smoked blue lobster with thermidor cream, sea scallops with black truffle, poached Culoiselle poultry with coffee-fermented milk and lacquered root vegetable, and finally Forastero chocolate with candied ginger and Chiloé berry. The four-course feast is available for lunch and dinner on 24 December.

Chef Bizet will treat guests to a similarly dazzling culinary experience on New Year’s Eve. His festive menu will incorporate the finest delicacies produced by surrounding regions of France – which diners can savour, along with fine champagne and fireworks displays over the Eiffel Tower, as they bid a fond farewell to 2023 and joyfully welcome 2024.
