The Peninsula Paris
The legendary hotel welcomes couples with weekend getaways, extraordinary meals, and spa treatments for two – on Valentine’s Day and through the month of February
With its eternally charming neighbourhoods, intimate cafes and bars, and scenic bridges spanning the Seine, Paris has a well-earned reputation as the world’s most romantic city. In keeping with this mystique – and in celebration of the holiday honouring love – The Peninsula Paris will offer an array of special experiences to ensure visiting couples enjoy an unforgettable Valentine's Day.
Harmonising Flavours at L’Oiseau Blanc
To celbrate the synergy that unites every romantic couple, L'Oiseau Blanc’s Executive Chef, David Bizet, has created a five-course menu that highlights paired dishes. Each course features a main ingredient prepared in two different, complementary ways: one dish that exemplifies delicacy, and another, more boldly flavoured interpretation. For example, the restaurant’s famed blue lobster is offered both gently steamed in aromatic rose broth, and also robustly seasoned with piquillo peppers and teriyaki sauce; Perche poultry, meanwhile, is served both gently poached with truffled cocoa and baked inside puff pastry as a spiced, foie-gras accompanied pie. Couples can enjoy these ingeniously compatible dishes while gazing at stunning panoramic views over the city – including the illuminated Eiffel Tower.
Romantic Cocktails at Bar Kléber
Raising a glass to love at The Peninsula Paris’s cocktail lounge, Bar Kléber lets couples honour Valentine’s Day in sophisticated style. Throughout the month of February, a duo of special, romance-themed cocktails – together called Love at The Peninsula – will be served, both devised by the hotel’s expert mixologists. The “Kiss in Paris,” composed of champagne, gin, elderflower, and Chambord liqueur, is distinguished by its floral notes and its slender glass. The “Dandy's,” served in an elegant flask, is made from cognac, Chambord liqueur and amaro, and is characterized by its intensity, complexity, and elegance.
Shared Plates at Le Lobby
Set at the heart of The Peninsula Paris, the majestic Le Lobby restaurant will offer a special Valentine’s Day dinner that honours the pleasure of sharing. Chef Baptiste Leroux created his five-course menu specifically for couples to enjoy together. It begins with shared canapés like smoked marinated heart of salmon and peppercorn brioche, followed by artichoke heart with black truffle, and then a saffron langoustine ravioli. A main course of sole meunière with tarragon is accompanied by smoked héliantis and wine sauce. For dessert, a sumptuous Saint-Honoré cake with grilled vanilla and notes of orange blossom promises a sweet finish to the meal.
Tea For Two
The Peninsula Paris’s signature Afternoon Tea presents a delicious opportunity for couples to linger together over sweet and savoury bites. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Chef Leroux and Pastry Chef Anne Coruble have crafted an especially tempting teatime menu to be served at Le Lobby – including treats like mango-chili baba, coconut-arugula veil, vanilla scones, and pistachio-orange blossom cookies – throughout the month of February.
Alluring Asian Cuisine at LiLi
Valentine’s Day guests who appreciate the flavours of Asia can embark upon a magnificent gastronomic journey at LiLi on the evening of February 14, Chef Tak Lau Yuen’s special eight-course dinner includes selections of appetizers and dim sum, followed by a pumpkin and crabmeat soup, and scallops sautéed with XO sauce. Next, Challans chicken flambéed with rose alcohol is served in a clay pot, followed by jasmine rice sautéed with prawns and candied tomato. The meal culminates with a Saint-Honoré infused with grilled vanilla and roasted sesame from Pastry Chef Anne Coruble – meant for two to share.
