Valentine’s Day is greeted with special fanfare at The Peninsula Paris, the City of Light’s superbly elegant Avenue Kléber hotel. This year, in honour of the holiday, the legendary property will resound with tributes to romance – including special meals, cocktails, and spa treatments – throughout the month of February.

A Gastronomic Tête-à-Tête at L’Oiseau Blanc

O the evening of February 14, an exquisite dinner will be served at L’Oiseau Blanc, The Peninsula Paris’s Michelin-starred destination for French haute cuisine. The restaurant’s setting on the sixth floor of the hotel, with dazzling views over the Eiffel Tower and rooftops of Paris, sets the scene for an exceptionally romantic rendezvous.

For the occasion, Chef David Bizet and his team will offer a six-course set menu that revisits – and reimagines – the great classics of French cuisine. The meal will begin with lychee-marinated scallops with goji berries, followed by lemongrass-imbued oscietra caviar; next will come a “black diamond” carpaccio of Périgord truffle, blue lobster with matured coral served en croûte , and then a soufflé of Culoiselle poultry with black truffle. A “frozen garden” made with candied citrus fruits encapsulated in a frosted buttermilk Vacherin will provide a sweet finish.

A Sumptuous Cantonese Feast at LiLi

Amid glamorous environs inspired by Chinese operas of the 1920s , fans of Cantonese cuisine will be able to enjoy an opulent Valentine’s Day dinner at LiLi. The seven-course set menu, created by Chef Tak Lau Yuen and his team, will feature a selection of barbecue dishes (including Peking duck ), authentic dim sum, steamed turbot with silky tofu, spiced filet of quail, and jasmine rice with abalone; and conclude with a green mango poached in lemongrass and filled with delicious rose cream.

Romantic Afternoon Tea

For Valentine’s month, the culinary team at The Peninsula Paris will debut a special new menu of delights for Afternoon Tea at Le Lobby. The savoury offerings will include a Charlotte apple croissant with oscietra caviar, blue lobster bites on crunchy buckwheat, and steamed bao with Cantonese duck and green pepper. Sweet confections will include mochi with rice pudding and sobacha caramel, candied grapefruit with coconut cream, and a cookie made with Iranian pistachio and fleur de sel. Also gracing the menu will be a signature creation from award-winning Pastry Chef Anne Coruble: a rose-praline Kougelhopf garnished with vanilla cream and almond frangipane.

Through February the Prestige version of Afternoon Tea, which typically includes a glass of Champagne, can instead by accompanied by a special “Eternal Rose” cocktail, composed of rosé Champagne, almond milk, gin and white Lillet.

“Romantic Interlude” Spa Experience

The Peninsula Spa, a sanctuary of relaxation and renewal at The Peninsula Paris, will welcome couples to enjoy a special package for two through the month of February. The offer includes a one-hour access to The Peninsula Spa’s thermal suite with its hammam and sauna, followed by 30 minutes of balneotherapy and 30 minutes of personalised couples’ massage. After their rejuvenating shared spa experience, couples can then indulge in the Romantic Afternoon Tea of Le Lobby, featuring an array of sweet and savoury dishes accompanied by a glass of Champagne or special Valentine’s cocktail – an ideal opportunity to toast their love.
