ファンティン(凰庭)

Huang Ting

Huang Ting is a refined homage to traditional Beijing noble houses, combining rich history, cultural elegance, and fine Cantonese cuisine. The décor evokes the grandeur of these classical homes, with grey brick walls sourced from reclaimed hutong houses, dating back hundreds of years. These bricks were carefully salvaged from demolition sites across Beijing, preserving their antique charm and connecting the restaurant to the city’s architectural heritage. The slate floors and aged pine beams lend a rustic warmth, complemented by delicate ivory and blue silk highlights, creating a serene, luxurious atmosphere.

Much of the furniture is inspired by traditional Ming dynasty designs (1368–1644). The restaurant features huang hua li wooden tables and chairs, crafted as reproductions of ancient Ming pieces, ensuring that the atmosphere remains true to historical Chinese aesthetics. Pine floorboards and beams, originally sourced from a mansion in Suzhou, are over 200 years old, while the large, heavy front door, with its intricate iron handle and studded design, also hails from a bygone era. Together, these elements immerse diners in an environment rich in history and beauty.

The tea house, located at the entrance, serves as both a place for relaxation and as an introduction to the restaurant’s commitment to tea culture. One of the restaurant’s most striking features is the antique display stand—over 200 years old—sourced from Shanxi province. This intricately carved wooden piece now holds an impressive collection of fine Chinese teas, providing a glimpse into the artistry behind tea cultivation and presentation.

Every aspect of Huang Ting, from its meticulously chosen décor to its refined menu and tea culture, evokes the elegance and sophistication of traditional Beijing nobility while providing a contemporary and luxurious setting for diners. The combination of cultural authenticity, rich history, and culinary mastery makes Huang Ting an unparalleled dining destination.
