Kraisorn

Kraisorn Samraumjit
Tuk Tuk Driver
Young Kraisorn believed in a sharp mind, a loving heart and a strong fist. He lived a life of balance, buried his head in books and boxed in tournaments from the age of nine. A serious and polite child always focused on moving forward, his father’s words always rang in his ears like a bell: “Those who don’t make progress, get lost.”
But when Kraisorn grew up and became a professional Thai boxer, he found his life knocked off-kilter. The studies were gone, the books were closed. Even with newfound adult freedom, there were no nights out – it was sweat, training and bouts, day after day. It was a life of discipline with little reward.
Kraisorn sought another, landing in the most different place possible: a monastery. Here, the monks taught him to care for himself by caring for others. He re-learned the truest lessons of life: reflection, generosity and kindness. This brought back the balance he had lost.
Kraisorn's life journey has taken him from the boxing ring to the monastery, and now, to The Peninsula Bangkok as a Tuk Tuk driver. As he weaves through the streets of Bangkok, you'll experience more than just a ride; you'll witness the fusion of discipline and compassion that defines Kraisorn's approach to life. His presence ensures that your stay is not just luxurious but also deeply enriching, leaving you with memories that extend beyond your time at our hotel.
